During the upcoming 2022-2023 season, Midori will mark the 40th anniversary of her professional debut, which took place on New Year's Eve in 1982 with the New York Philharmonic under the baton of Zubin Mehta, at age 11.
In this milestone year, Warner Classics will release her new album of the complete Beethoven violin sonatas with the pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet. They are scheduled to perform all ten sonatas over three recitals at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire in October and Suntory Hall in Tokyo in November.
Midori also shares two lifelong passions—Bach's six Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin and newly commissioned works— at her performances, including her Carnegie Hall recital in February.
